Air Delivered event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Lower South Waziristan District area, Pakistan on Wed 23rd September 2026

Armed individuals reportedly used quadcopter drones to target security checkposts in the Kark Kot and Spin Khwara Khula areas of Lower South Waziristan District of Balochistan, reports Frontier Files on X on September 23. The reported attacks followed a similar drone attack in the Spin Laman mountains two days earlier. No casualties were reported in the latest incidents. The identities of the attackers and the extent of any damage were not immediately known. The use of commercially available or improvised quadcopter drones to target security positions represents a recurring method of attack in parts of the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas and adjoining districts. No group had claimed responsibility for the reported attacks at the time of the report. The incidents and absence of casualties could not be independently verified.
