On September 19, Security Forces (SFs) recovered a cache of arms, ammunition and other items from the forward Sudhpora area of Kupwara District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. The Army's 1/1 Gorkha Rifles (1/1 GR) and Jammu and Kashmir Police carried out the recovery during a joint operation. The recovered items included one Improvised Explosive Device (IED), six Rocket-Propelled Grenade (RPG) boosters, three RPG rounds, 11 AK rounds, 15 Pika machine-gun rounds and two packets of medicine. An official said the recovery was made in the forward area.
