The State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) arrested a youth identified as Navjot Singh alias Nav, a permanent resident of Canada, and recovered two grenades from his possession near Kaussa Road in Faridkot District on September 17, reports The Tribune. Police suspect Singh of links with Pakistan-based terror modules and other cross-border elements, and allege that he used drones to procure explosives intended to disrupt peace and communal harmony in the region.However, his father, Suba Singh, disputed the police account of the circumstances leading to his son’s arrest and demanded justice.
