Two people killed in Russian drone strikes in Kharkiv region.

Two people were killed in Russian drone strikes in the Bohodukhiv district, Kharkiv region, on October 2.

Viktor Kovalenko, head of the border Zolochiv community, told this to Ukrinform.

According to him, at about 08:25 Russian forces attacked a passenger car with a drone on the Zolochiv-Derhachi road near the village of Myronivka. The strike killed a 66-year-old man. At about 09:50, Russian forces also attacked a tractor belonging to one of the community's agricultural companies with an FPV drone, killing a 50-year-old tractor operator.

In addition, at about 09:50, Russian forces attacked a gas service vehicle in the community's administrative center, the settlement of Zolochiv. The vehicle was significantly damaged, but none of the workers was injured.

Before these two fatal incidents, Russian strikes in the community had already killed 129 residents, while more than 540 had suffered injuries of varying severity.

"The situation remains very, very tense. In fact, the enemy has established fire control over the Zolochiv-Derhachi road, and vehicles are coming under attacks by FPV drones and Molniya drones almost every day. The eastern part of the community and Zolochiv itself, even villages located 35 kilometers from the border, are coming under attack," Kovalenko said.

As reported, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and 13 settlements in the region on October 1, damaging civilian infrastructure and injuring six people, including a child.
