The airstrikes caused deaths and injuries among civilians, passersby, and shoppers in the vicinity of those locations, according to the AA report.

Locals reported seeing bombs land near the Pike Thei Ward and the Indian Market in Kyauktaw Town, causing smoke to rise from the sites.

Because airstrikes are ongoing, residents in Kyauktaw Town and surrounding areas are afraid to leave their homes and are taking cover in safe places. Locals also reported that military aircraft continue to circle above Kyauktaw Town.
