Agents of the ‘Atesh’ guerrilla movement have announced that they carried out a sabotage operation on the Donetsk–Melitopol railway line, which Russian troops use to supply their forces in southern Ukraine.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the ‘Atesh’ military-patriotic movement on 30 September.
“Whilst Kremlin propaganda is preparing to mark the so-called ‘Day of Reunification’ of the occupied territories with the Russian Federation, ‘Atesh’ agents are continuing to impose a logistical lockdown on the occupying army.”
According to the movement, three railway signal boxes in the areas around the towns of Luhanske, Rozyvka and Molochansk were put out of action. It is noted that these signal boxes control the signalling, points and communications systems on the railway lines.
‘Atesh’ emphasised that such actions are aimed at disrupting the Russian army’s logistics. According to representatives of the movement, this railway line is used to transport ammunition, military equipment and personnel of the occupying forces.
“‘ATESH’ is systematically cutting off the supply routes of the group in the south. The occupiers’ ammunition, equipment and manpower depend on this railway line — and we are cutting them off from their supplies.”
