On 24 September 2026, in Koke Ko Kone village (Kawlin township, Kawlin district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military forces conducted airstrikes using jet fighters originating from Tada-U Air base and dropped four bombs across the area where the internally displaced people shelter, at around 5:30 pm. The airstrikes also destroyed 10 houses. The Voice of Chinland - VOC and Shwe Phee Myay News Agency reported that the airstrikes killed 3 people and injured 6 people including two in critical conditions. Network Media Group reported that the airstrike killed 3 people and injured 8 people. Khit Thit Media also reported the airstrike killed 2 people and injured 8 people including 2 in critical conditions. Fatalities coded as 2, using the lowest estimate.
