On 22 September 2026, at 12:21am Muscat time, two unknown projectiles (likely drones based on the ongoing conflict around the Strait of Hormuz) fired by unidentified military forces exploded in the air and their debris struck the Al Maryah LPG tanker (IMO: 9393682) off the coast of Jazirat Tuwakkul (Khasab, Musandam). The crew did not sustain any injuries. The ship was damaged, but was able to continue to its next port of call. No casualties.
