On 21 September 2021, in the rural area of La Rica, Puerto Libertador municipality (Cordoba), five military soldiers were killed and seven more were injured in an ambush carried out by suspected Gulf Clan members. Perpetrators threw explosives at the military unit when they patrolled the road between La Rica and Juan Jose corregimientos. 5 fatalities.
