On 23 September 2026, an armed group (likely Africa Corps, as the actor has been known to operate all the Shahed drones in the Sahel) launched six Shahed Harpy-A1 kamikaze drones from Gao to strike Talhandak (Boghassa, Abeibara, Kidal). Five of the six drones crashed near an empty field, and the sixth hit a fuel depot. The targets of the five drones that crashed near an empty field remained unspecified. There were no casualties.
