On 21 September 2026, the Malian army claimed to have conducted an airstrike on an armored vehicle of a militant group (likely JNIM, based on the presence of the group in the area, previous similar operations against them in and around Dioura, and a recent attack by the group in the city) between the towns of Setik and Kologuiri in the sector of Dioura (Kareri, Tenenkou, Mopti). The army also claimed to have struck the vehicle and its passengers. Casualties unknown.
