On 19 September 2026, in Guapi (Cauca), unidentified individuals threw an explosive device at the police station headquarters, causing minor damage to the structure and injuring an officer who was taken to hospital. Although the perpetrators behind the attack are unknown, the area is known for the presence of FARC dissident fronts. There were no fatalities.
