On 21 September 2026, Pakistani military forces conducted airstrikes targeting residential homes in Patan village of Noorgal district, Kunar, and some areas in Barmal district in Paktika (coded separately). Pakistan's Ministry of Information stated that the strikes targeted Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) bases and hideouts, including a suicide bomber training centre, and that 28 militants were killed. The ministry also stated that weapons and ammunition stored at the sites were destroyed. UNAMA confirmed that three members of one family were killed and four others were injured in the strike in Kunar. Fatalities coded as 3 based on local sources and UNAMA. Total 3 fatalities.
