Drone and aerial attacks by Military Council forces in Kantbalu Township, Sagaing Region, and Hpruso Township, Karenni State, on September 26 injured three people—including a head abbot—and damaged a monastery and several homes, according to local residents and sources.

Today, September 26, around 9:02 AM, Military Council forces stationed at the Zeekone Sugar Mill launched a drone strike directly onto a monastery in Htantabin village, Kantbalu Township.

The attack inflicted leg injuries on the resident head abbot, though his conditions are not life-threatening. Another local resident suffered severe injuries during the strike.
