On 23 September 2021, a bomb went off on the side of a road in Khae Khae village, kwaeng Ban Nam Bo, Panare district (Pattani), which was believed to target the police convoy travelling to inspect another grenade attack occurred about one kilometer away in Ban Nam Bo village. Police suspected the bomb was planted by Malay Muslim separatists. There were no casualties.
