SAA event in Ecuador on Wed 23rd September 2026

The Armed Forces of Ecuador, in cooperation with the United States Southern Command, conducted an operation in Sucumbíos province resulting in the death of an individual identified as alias "Charlie", described as a logistic and financial operator for international drug trafficking networks. The operation was carried out by the Armed Forces of Ecuador in coordination with the United States Southern Command. According to official statements provided by Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa Azín, the intervention took place in the province of Sucumbíos. During the procedure, the primary target and two of his custodians were reported killed inside a vehicle during a rural deployment supported by tactical units and aerial assets.
