Two military airstrikes conducted on Taung Phu village in Pauktaung Township (Weerathani Township), Rakhine State, resulted in the death of one man and injured a woman, local Rakhine news sources reported.

Early yesterday morning, September 20, military aircraft launched a first airstrike on Taung Phu village. Later, around 12:30 PM, a second strike targeted the area near the local monastery and the Taung Phu Gyi pagoda near the village, according to local residents.

Ko Win Myat Aye, a 34-year-old native of Kway Toe Pyin village in Ponnagyun Township, suffered severe head injuries during the attack and subsequently died. A 42-year-old woman named Aye Khin Thein sustained an injury to her right shoulder.
