A mother and her daughter were killed by artillery shrapnel in the Moe Sae Kan region of Rathedaung Township, Rakhine State, after terrorist military forces based in Sittwe launched heavy artillery attacks, according to local Rakhine news sources.
On September 20 at around 10:20 AM, Sittwe-based terrorist military forces fired heavy artillery toward villages in the Moe Sae Kan area, causing two artillery shells to explode inside the residential compound of Daw Aye Nu Phyu in Zee Kaing village. The explosions killed 72-year-old Daw Aye Nu Phyu and her 42-year-old daughter, Daw Ma Shwe Tin, both residents of Zee Kaing village.
