An explosive attack caused the derailment of a coal train in Uribia, in northern Colombia, amid the wave of violence affecting this region of the country, as authorities bolster security for strategic infrastructure. The attack, the sixth against this freight convoy so far this year, took place around midnight on Tuesday, at kilometer 60 of the Cerrejón railway line, and affected a train traveling empty toward the south of La Guajira.
