UAV event in Khmelnytskyi area, Ukraine on Thu 24th September 2026

A multi-story residential building was damaged in Khmelnytskyi as a result of Russian shelling on September 24.

This was reported by the head of the Khmelnytskyi OVA, Serhiy Tyurin.

According to him, all necessary services have arrived at the scene. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no injuries.

Serhiy Tyurin noted that air defense forces were operating in the Khmelnytskyi region, and there were some downings.

Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn wrote that the damaged high-rise building had broken windows and damaged balconies. In addition, cars were damaged in the yard.

What is known about the Russian shelling of September 24, 2026

- As of 11:00 on September 24, 2026, air defense forces in the Khmelnytskyi region had destroyed or suppressed 18 Russian drones.

- An apartment building was damaged by falling debris from one of the UAVs. Windows were broken, balconies and cars were damaged, as well as a gas pipe. There was smoke but no fire.

- 35 people were evacuated from the house , including five children. According to preliminary information, there were no deaths or injuries.
