Fighting has intensified in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, as the terrorist military launched an offensive to regain control over oil field areas, including Yenan Chat village, local sources told Yangon Khit Thit news agency.

Starting early on the morning of September 17, around 6:00 AM, the terrorist military advanced to recapture the oil field areas, including Yenan Chat village, which are controlled by resistance forces. To conduct the offensive, the military forcibly commandeered civilian motorboats at the Bu Paya port in Bagan and teamed up with Ayadaw Township-based station troops.

As the terrorist military advanced, heavy clashes erupted with resistance forces, forcing thousands of civilians from Yenan Chat and neighboring villages to flee to safer areas.
