An armed attack was reported on the night of Wednesday, September 23, 2026, around 4 a.m., in the locality of Boimanu, Muanda territory, in Kongo Central.

Armed men broke into the home of Djouma Nzazi, an Orange Money and M-Pesa agent. They stole a large sum of money, several mobile phones, a plasma screen TV, and other valuables.

During the attack, the owner was shot in the leg. He was taken to Muanda General Referral Hospital for treatment. His life is not believed to be in danger.

This attack has reignited public concerns about the security situation in this part of the Muanda territory. Residents have called on authorities and security services to increase patrols and the protection of people and their property.
