Air Delivered event in Sagaing Region, Shwebo area, Myanmar on Wed 16th September 2026

On 16 September 2026, in Hna Ma Sar Yit village (Shwebo township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped bombs three times with a MiG-29 fighter jet that came from Meiktila airbase and fired heavy weapons three times from the No. 8 military training school and IB-42 based in Shwebo town which fell and exploded at a monastery while they were having an opening ceremony for the water purification facility around 12:50 pm, without an armed clash occurring. A 43-year-old monk and 2 men around 60 years old were killed. 11 civilians (3 men and 8 women) were injured and one of them, a 56-year-old man died with injuries on 17 September. Five monastery buildings, the water purification facility, three pagodas and four motorcycles were destroyed. 4 fatalities.
