On 14 September 2026, Houthi forces launched dozens of ballistic missiles and drones that directly impacted Saudi Arabia, including Khamis Mushait city (Khamis Mushayt, Asir), Abha city (coded separately), and Taif city (coded separately), causing minor-to-moderate injuries to 13 civilians in addition to material damage to 7 houses and 2 vehicles. Houthi forces claimed the attack stating they directly impacted military facilities and infrastructure, including warplane shelters, radars, and ammunition warehouses in King Khalid Air Base, resulting in 'heavy losses' in the base. The claimed target and results of the strikes were not corroborated by other sources.
