On 16 September 2026, the Malian army claimed to have conducted airstrikes on a group of armed militants holding military equipment and satellite communication devices (likely JNIM, based on the presence of the group in the area, previous similar operations against it in the Tenenkou cercle, and a recent attack in Dioura), north-east of Gueledie (Toguere-Coumbe, Tenenkou, Mopti). The army claimed that the group was 'neutralized' (meaning killed) and its equipment destroyed. Unspecified fatalities coded as 3.
