On 12 September 2021, Israeli fighter jets struck a Hamas military site known as 'Ein Jalout' west of Khan Yunis city (Khan Yunis) in response to the rocket fired from Gaza into Israel previously. The airstrike destroyed the site and caused material damages to nearby buildings. According to the IDF, the attacks targeted an underground rocket facility, storage site, and training sites with tunnels. Casualties unknown.
