On 12 September 2026, in Palmira (Valle del Cauca), two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle threw an explosive device at a police vehicle in the intersection of 42 and 33 streets, in the Granada sector, partially damaging the police vehicle with the detonation and nearby properties. A police officer was inside the unit, but was unharmed. Although the perpetrators behind the attack are unknown, the area is known for the presence of non-state armed groups. There were no casualties.
