Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Shkodër County, Shkodër area, Albania on Sat 12th September 2026

A small explosive device was thrown into the yard of the house of a man aged about 60 and exploded, causing minor material damage. Several windows were broken in nearby apartment buildings. No injuries were reported. The perpetrator arrived alone on a motorcycle adapted for pizza deliveries, wearing a helmet and disguised as a delivery driver, and left immediately after throwing the device. Investigators suspect the explosion was a threatening message to the brother of the house owner, who lives abroad and has previous convictions there, and that the attacker may have been paid. The perpetrator has not been identified and police are examining security camera footage.
