Two alleged shooters linked to foreign-based gangster Doni Bal, identified as Karanjot Singh alias Nona and Sandeep Singh, were killed in an exchange of fire with a joint team of the Punjab Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Ludhiana Commissionerate Police in a crowded area near Atam Park, Ludhiana District, on September 13, reports The Tribune. Police recovered three sophisticated automatic pistols and around 50 live cartridges from the suspects. According to police, the two were allegedly on their way to a blood donation camp in Atam Nagar to open fire at the venue and were intercepted about 250 metres away. Ludhiana Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma said the suspects opened fire after spotting the police, prompting retaliatory fire in which both were killed.
