SAA event in Colombia on Mon 14th September 2026

#OperationalStrength | In a rural area of ​​Caucasia, Antioquia, troops from the @GaulaMilitares Bajo Cauca, with support from the @FuerzaAereaCol and the @PoliciaColombia, engaged in combat against an armed group belonging to the Clan del Golfo Organized Armed Group. As a result, one member of this group was killed during military operations, and three others were captured. During the operation, carried out in the village of La Escuela, in the Cuturú district, seven people being held captive by this criminal organization were rescued. Additionally, four rifles, one pistol, more than 800 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 18 magazines, communications equipment, and materials containing financial information and the organization's bylaws were seized. This military action directly impacts the armed and logistical capabilities of the Uldar Cardona Rueda Substructure, which is accused of extortion, intimidation, and illegal control of territory in the Bajo Cauca region of Antioquia. Every operational success represents a blow to the structures that seek to threaten the population through fear and violence. We will continue strengthening the military presence and carrying out decisive operations against those who threaten the security of the inhabitants of Antioquia. In the Bajo Cauca region, the National Army remains steadfast in protecting the population and guaranteeing institutional control of the territory.
