The KIA announced yesterday, September 16, that nearly 20 junta military vessels traveling upstream along the Ayeyarwady River from Mandalay to send reinforcements to Bhamo Town, Kachin State, have been attacked and destroyed.

In the second week of September, the junta used dozens of military vessels to send reinforcements from Mandalay toward Bhamo, while the KIA and joint forces intercepted and attacked them along the river.

On the morning of yesterday, September 16, the KIA and joint forces intercepted three junta military vessels bringing reinforcements to Bhamo near Wai Ma Gyi Village, Shwe Gu Township, Kachin State.
