A military airstrike utilizing paramotors killed six civilians, including three children and an elderly woman, and injured five others in Zun Kyar village, located in Mindon Township, according to a statement released Monday evening by local resistance forces.

The Thayet District People's Defense Force (PDF) Battalion No. 4 reported that the attack occurred at approximately 4:30 PM on September 13.

Three military  paramotors allegedly approached from the direction of Defense Industry Factory 12 (Kapasa 12) in neighboring Thayet Township, dropping eight bombs onto the village.

Local sources emphasized that no active fighting between the military and revolutionary forces, including the Arakan Army (AA), was taking place in the immediate area at the time of the strike.

Resistance officials identified the deceased victims as Daw Pa Sar (70 years old), Ma Nwe Nwe Win (25), Ma Khin Wai Zin Moe (17),  Maung Kaung Htet Kyaw (15), Ma Htet Thazin Hlaing (11) and Ma Ngu War Hlaing (10).

The five injured survivors, ranging in age from 10 to 23, were identified as Daw Mar Lar, Maung Min Htet Oo, Maung Chit Ma Wa, Ma Mya Hmu May, and Ma Thin Thin Hlaing. All sustained injuries after being struck by shrapnel from the blasts.

Following the attack, Thayet District Battalion No. 4 issued a public safety warning, urging residents in the region to remain highly vigilant. The group accused the junta of deliberately targeting civilian populations with heavy weaponry and airstrikes, even in areas experiencing no active ground combat.
