KIA-led joint forces attacked a fleet of terrorist junta vessels traveling downriver from Bhamo Township, Kachin State, causing several additional ships to catch fire, sustain severe damage, and sink, a KIA military source told Khit Thit Media.

On the morning of today, September 13, KIA joint forces ambushed the downriver-bound military fleet between Sar Wa Ti village and Mya Lei village.

In the first attack on three approaching vessels, all three caught fire and suffered heavy damage, with one sinking into the river. In a second engagement targeting three more ships, all three were damaged and sank.
