On September 12, Light Infantry Battalion 50 stationed in Gangaw town fired heavy artillery shells into West Gangaw village in Gangaw Township, Magway Region, killing 70-year-old U Kyaw Oo and damaging a house, according to local residents.

In that incident, junta forces fired five heavy artillery shells toward West Gangaw village, and U Kyaw Oo was killed when a shell exploded, a local resident said.
