On 8 September 2026, Houthi forces conducted drones and ballistic missiles strikes targeting Abha Saudi ARAMCO (coded separately), Jizan Economic City (coded separately), Najran - Saudi ARAMCO (Najran, Najran), Jizan - Saudi ARAMCO (coded separately), and King Khalid Air Base (coded separately). The strikes resulted in the injury of 73 civilians. The Houthi claimed the attacks, stating they were in response to an airstrike conducted by Saudi forces in Al Hazm in Yemen that killed 23 people.
