On 7 September 2026, in Thandwe town (Thandwe township, Thandwe district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped two 300-pound bombs on the town with a jet fighter at around 10:30 am. Military soldiers also fired a machine gun from the jet fighter. A 77-year-old civilian woman was killed and 3 civilians (a 70-year-old woman, a 28-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman) were injured. 1 fatality.
