On 6 September 2026, Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes targeting a garage and other residential buildings in Nabatiye city (Al Nabatieh, Al Nabatieh). The strikes caused extensive and severe damage to the building housing the Regional Finance Department and the Agriculture Department in the city. Dozens of surrounding shops and cafes were also damaged. Eight individuals, including a journalist and a photojournalist working for AlManar TV (Hezbollah-affiliated), were injured in the airstrikes. The IDF stated it carried out airstrikes in response to a Hezbollah drone attack that targeted its soldiers in southern Lebanon. The airstrikes targeted weapon depots and other buildings used by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
