On 8 September 2026, the Ethiopian Air Force conducted seven drone strikes overnight against convoys of TDF's Army 11 unit unloading soldiers (arriving from Western Tigray) in Mayshimet, Hintalo (South Eastern Tigray, Tigray). An unspecified number of TDF soldiers and 3 civilians from the same family were killed, and three other people, including 1 TDF member, were injured in the strikes. 3 buses were also destroyed.
