Local residents told Khit Thit Media that a senior abbot aged over 90 passed away from fright when a military column fired weapons while invading Kambar Te Village in Kyaukpadaung Township, and that the military also burned down a hospital and a telecommunication tower.

On September 7, a terrorist military column advanced into Kambar Te Village while firing heavy artillery and small arms. As the column entered the village, a senior abbot aged over 90 passed away from shock and fright.

Following the abbot's passing, the terrorist military used loudspeakers to call out to civilians who had fled the war to return and perform the funeral rites, but local residents were too terrified to enter the village.
