Dubasi Shankar alias Ramesh alias Pedda Mahender alias Arun alias RM alias Mahesh, a top-ranking Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre of the Andhra Odisha Border Special Zone Committee (AOBSZC) carrying a cash reward of INR 2 million on his head, was arrested during a joint combing operation launched by the District Voluntary Force (DVF) of the Odisha Police, Border Security Force (BSF) and Special Operation Group (SOG), from the forest area of Pittaguda and Noaro village under Baipariguda Police Station limit in Koraput District of Odisha on September 13, reports UNI. Odisha, Director General of Police (DGP), Abhay said, a Maoist of his cadre has neither been arrested nor neutralised in the last 20 years in Odisha and described his arrest as a great achievement of Odisha Police. Dubasi, a resident of Muttarasi Chetla village in Medak District of Telangana, was a member of the Andhra Odisha Special Zone Military Commission. The Security personnel have seized an INSAS (Indian Small Arms System) assault rifle, 10 rounds of ammunition, a mobile phone, one radio, earphones, Amazon kindle, INR 35,000 in cash and other articles from his possessions.
