A Police constable was killed and another sustained injuries when unidentified terrorists opened fire on a Police patrol near Shinki Dam in the Sabir Abad area of Karak District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 9, reports The Khyber Chronicles. The incident took place while the Station House Officer (SHO), accompanied by a contingent of Police personnel, was conducting routine patrolling and security duties in the vicinity of Shinki Dam. The personnel came under sudden and indiscriminate fire from terrorists operating in the area. During the attack, Constable Zafran sustained critical injuries and was killed while fellow Police officer, Constable Muhammad Imtiaz, sustained injuries.
