A quadcopter reportedly dropped a projectile near Well No. 3 of a Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) oil and gas facility in Sam Banda in Gargari, in Karak District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reports Frontier Files on September 9. No casualties or property damage were reported in the incident. However, intense gunfire was continuing from the surrounding mountainous areas and the Washi side towards the facility. The incident raised security concerns around the energy installation in Karak, where oil and gas infrastructure has previously faced security threats. SNGPL operates gas transmission and distribution infrastructure across Pakistan.
