A young girl was killed after a quadcopter drone allegedly operated by Fitna al-Khawarij, referring to the term used by the state to designate members of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), crashed in a populated area of Kohat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reports Frontier Files on September 9. According to District Police Officer Mazhar Iqbal, security forces and police were conducting a joint intelligence-based operation against terrorists in the Wali area when the Khawarij attempted to target security personnel with a drone.
