On September 9, four terrorists, Fitna al-Khawarij, referring to the term used by the state to designate members of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), were killed and three others injured in an attack by Fitna al-Khawarij on the Anar China Police Check Post in Hangu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reports Khyber Chronicles. According to initial reports, the Khawarij launched an armed assault on the police installation, prompting security personnel to engage the attackers. Four terrorists were killed and three others injured in the ensuing exchange of fire. Following the engagement, security forces launched a search and clearance operation in and around the area to eliminate any remaining threat. Personnel remained on high alert as security measures were strengthened to prevent further hostile activity.
