On September 8, Security Forces (SFs) eliminated 27 terrorists attempting to infiltrate Pakistan from Afghanistan through the Ghulam Khan border in North Waziristan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a key Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander among those killed, reports Khyber Chronicles. Masood Shah alias Molvi Nusrat, a resident of Abakhel in Lakki Marwat, was identified among the slain terrorists. He had served as the so-called welfare emir of the proscribed organisation in Mianwali district. SFs detected and engaged the group while it was attempting to cross into Pakistan, foiling the infiltration bid. The operation comes amid continued attempts by Afghanistan-based terrorists to enter Pakistan and conduct attacks.
