On September 5, a Hindu man identified as Shuvo Das, 30, was shot dead in the Chashara area of Narayanganj city of Narayanganj District, reports The Daily Star. Shuvo had gunshot wounds to his chest and head, along with stab injuries. Police recovered five bullet casings from the scene. They also recovered 100 Yaba tablets beside the body. Tarek Al Mehedi, Additional Superintendent of Police said, “Based on the initial investigation, we suspect the killing was the result of a dispute over drugs. We have identified several suspects and are looking into the matter.”
