On September 5, One Frontier Corps (FC) soldier, identified as Lance Naik Asif Anwar, was killed and four other personnel injured when around 15–20-armed militants attacked the FC Zari Post, operated by 84 Wing Kharan Rifles, during its evacuation in Kharan District of Balochistan, reports Frontier Files on X. An exchange of fire took place between the attackers and FC personnel during the assault. The attackers’ identities and organisational affiliation were not immediately established. The incident occurred as the security personnel were evacuating the post, suggesting that the militants targeted the FC contingent during the withdrawal.
