On September 3, Hafiz Hibatullah Omari, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)’s governor for Pishin, was reportedly killed along with two other TTP members in an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) strike in Shaban Valley in Harnai District of Balochistan, reports Khyber Chronicles. According to reports, the strike took place at night, targeting Omari and other members of the proscribed organisation. One of those killed was identified as Musab, a resident of Pishin, while the identity of the third individual remained unknown. Omari’s reported position indicated his role in TTP’s organisational and operational structure in Pishin.
