A 10-year-old child was killed and her mother severely injured when the terrorist military fired heavy artillery into Nyaung Htauk Village, Kyaikhto Township, Mon State, local residents told Khit Thit Media.

On September 6 at around 4:30 PM, soldiers from Division 44 of the terrorist military fired 120mm heavy artillery shells into the Kwet Thit ward of Nyaung Htauk Village in Kyaikhto Township without any active fighting.

The heavy artillery explosion instantly killed 10-year-old Ma Naw Ei Phyo Myat, a resident of Kwet Thit ward, Nyaung Htauk Village, and left her mother, Daw Naw Tha Mee, with severe injuries to her waist and buttocks.
