Mali 🇲🇱 | On September 10, in the morning, the FAMa camp in Dioura (Mopti) was attacked by JNIM

🔶 The attack was claimed by the terrorist group and acknowledged by the Malian army, which stated in the late morning that a "counterattack is underway" and that "additional information will be provided later" JNIM reportedly took possession of the camp before abandoning it. This tactic is recurrent in the Sahel. A propaganda video was released after the attack by the terrorist group (📽️ in comments)

🔷 Pending a precise report, some sources indicate that several soldiers were killed and equipment seized.

ℹ️ The Dioura military base has been attacked 4 times in 3 years (September 2023, December 2023, May 2025, and today), resulting in several dozen deaths among the FDS during the previous attacks (Wamaps post quoted) The day before, JNIM claimed an ambush against a FAMa patrol between Hérémékano and Sikasso (📽️ in comments)
